"Thou shalt not be a victim, thous shalt not be a perpetrator, but above all, thou shalt not be a bystander." -Holocaust Museum, Washington D.C.

Over half a million people have already died in Darfur. 10,000 people are dying every month, as the genocide rages on. Systematic rape, torture, poisoning of water sources, and destruction of livestock and crops are common practice. It is estimated that 80-90% of African villages in Darfur have already been destroyed, and that 2.5 million people are displaced. Violence and instability are spreading into Chad and Uganda. Join us to help stop genocide. We are currently working on fundraising dinners, a divestment campaign, uniting with other groups in the area, and getting involved at local colleges and universities.

What members are saying

I hope we can attract others. I like the fact that Kristin has a vision for this becoming larger.

It will take a strong grassroots effort to make a difference. Every person who speaks up is another voice to be heard for the victims of Darfur!

“Albert Einstein once said "The world is a dangerous place, not because of those who do evil, but because of those who look on and do nothing". Educating ourselves and others about genocide, both past and present is the best way to make change.”
